Hallo there,

I'm a 66 Cleric w/3 aa's that plays almost exclusively 11pm to 8am est, I'm seeking a raiding guild that raids at least somewhat frequently during those hours. I have fairly level appropriate gear, but am only flagged for CoD. I was most recently a member of FoaD, had to take some time off, and upon my return FoaD was no more. I am a very solid player with above average raid skills, who logs on reliably for the most part, and enjoys raiding over just about anything else. If you are a member of, or know of a guild that you think would suit my needs, please let me know.

You could always give ARoJPN a try. I'm not sure if their official raiding language is conducted in English, Japanase UTF-8, or Romanji; you can try searching for Ayonae Ro Japan for more information. Gathering from my past experiences with the alliance, it's an amalgam of several small guilds using a single loot and raid system. They are composed of mostly middle-level gear in the Elemental Planes. Their starting time is typically around 2-3am PST. If you know enough Japanese, I'm sure you could work your way around the guild. The vocabulary needed to raid with the Japanese is not be very extensive, since they will likely be using Japanese alphabets to communicate (hirogana and katakana). There will almost certainly be someone who can translate for you if you have not taken elementary language courses in Japanese.

It's not listed on our guild directory, because the Japanese tend to isolate themselves from the Western community. Their address is http://delight.ath.cx/arojpn/. Good luck!

Well, that all depends on how motivated you are. if you are excited about having to learn a very difficult and complicated language just so you can play EQ, than props to you. It may come in handy for you, but that might be viewed as someone extreme :p . If I had to venture a guess, you might be US military stationed in Japan (probably Okinawa) or in Korea, so you might actually benifit alot from more opportunity to practice the language. If not, you should maybe look into Australian raiding guilds on other servers. Aussies are great fun to be in EQ with and are very friendly, plus as an added bonus, they speak English. Stong Aussie raiding guilds are not common, but hey do exist. If you don't have fruency in Japanese but are that dedicated to this damn game to go THAT far as to learn that language, than a server transfer should not be remotely unreasonable.
