Just want peoples opinion on which one is going to be better overall.. Personally I have always been a Sony Man and would more than likely stick with the playstation 3 when it comes out, but then a friend sent me a video about the new Nintendo On. and I am almost hooked on it and will be watching what happens with it down the road. It seems while Playstation and xbox is going the way of Increasing the power of there machines Nintendo is going Different and workign WITH VIRTUAL REALITY. Yes you heard it right Folks there new system as long as this video i saw is true is working with Virtual Reality! Now comparing the Playstation3 versus the Xbox 360 is a little easier to compare considering the fact that all they are really doing is Juicing up there old systems. While Xbox is sticking with ATI and using ATI's top quality graphics,, Sony is taking a different route and is trying out NEW technology that was created by Nvidia I believe.. anways here are links to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3

Actually the original XBoX uses an NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX chipset and is, as you said, moving to ATI. Not sure about the PS2, but the Gamecube uses ATI graphics.

yeah i cant remember what article said but one article I read said that xbox is using top of the line ATI technology and Sony is going Innovative and trying tosmething new.

It is highly unlikely that I will buy any of them on my own, but I might buy it together with a couple of the people living in the same corridor.

...Ok, so I just watched the video and it looked awesome, the only problem is that we want to play games together. We play tons and tons of Mario Kart/Golf/Tennis, and the fun part is competing against eachother. This machine actually looks cool enough for me to get on my own, but I doubt we will get it for the common room... I guess we'll stick to good old Gamecube for that.

Also, I am going to force one friend or other to get the one that Square (I know it's SquareEnix now, but I really only care about the old Square series) goes with ^^

I am skeptical cause that video makes it look to good to be true but the fact of maybe being able to finally be one soldier in a OLD fashion Knight War is somethign i've always dreamed of.. so heres to hopin.

It has information regarding Nintendo Revolution. It is backwards compatible with the Gamecube, and also:

"Huge Historic Library. Revolution will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)."

Speaking for myself, it'll probably be an eventual migration to whatever platform proves the most hackable.

PS3 and XBOX360 have roughly the same specs, the edge going to PS3 because they use "omgawesome" XDR ram, that allows them to have the biggest red bar on their powerpoint slides. So, IMO, the "clash of the titans" of this generation will be as boring as the ps2/gc/xbox thing that has been going on for a couple years. I'm gonna continue to buy 3000$ computers to play stupid little freeware games instead of buying any of these 250$ consoles that share 95% of their respective game libraries.
