In the last few days, I have had two people at work asking me if I knew anything about the problem with the new Norton AV/Firewall package. One also had a sister encounter the same hassle.
What has occurred is the installation of the store bought package (the most recent/new one) has crashed the systems, requiring a complete restore. Two are Dells, and one is a Sony, all operating Windows XP. The Dell techs could not help at all, other than telling them to do a system restore after getting nowhere with any other options.
All three computers also had been running Norton software, but had expired in one case, and the other two had decided to upgrade via store bought rather than download.
Has anyone heard of anything in terms of system conflicts, or just a bad program bug, or whatever? Thanks in advance for any info.
