- Sorry, not sure what you call it instead of a cabinet. A good article, I wonder how much turns out to be correct. Will he go bi-partisan, or lean heavily on the pickings of Clinton's administration (wait, I guess that's what you call it!)?

I think the fact that Joe the Plumber will be asked to join the cabinet...

ooops....wrong guys cabinet.

While I'm not opposed to any of Clinton's advisors being brought in to the cabinet, I hope it's more bi-partisan than we have seen in the past.

Remember, not all Republicans are bad.

John Kerry for the State Department, hrm ... not sure I like that decision.
Gates for DoD is a great choice, he's been huge.

Ron Paul for DoTreasure

Oh I like that suggestion Grey and I agree with Kelraz on DoD Gates.

I wouldn't want Kerry involved in anything however.

Yeah that Kerry thing is not a great idea, but there are some excellent and other viable names out there including some good conservatives.

Chuck Hagel would do a much better job than Kerry, IMO. Jack Kemp might be too old to do the necessary globe-trotting of Secretary of State, but other than that he would be a great choice too.

I think Bill Richardson would be an asset in a number of positions, but I am not sure I would be too quick to pull any Democrat governors from Republican leaning states.

Ron Paul for DoTreasure

Would be the best person for the job no doubt, will it happen? No :(

I'd much rather see Ron Paul heading up a rebuild the constitution dept or something tasked with restoring basic rights again and he would also probably be good on some type of general oversight of government position.

He needs to go in and gut the IRS. The tax code shouldn't be this convoluted...

Well the IRS are the police of the tax code, not the creators of it. Given all of the fast balls thrown at them over the past few years (stimulus checks and so forth) I think they do their jobs pretty damn well. We just need a less confusing tax code, for sure. I pay an accountant nearly $200 4x a year to tell me what I owe the government, that seems kinda silly, no?

Actually it really is called the "cabinet".

I'm with Byl and it will be interesting to see where Richardson will fall in the cabinet. Kerry as SoS is a bad choice and I predict Obama will not go there. Hilliary would be a very interesting choice there.(not that she would take it)

I've thought for months now that Ron Paul would be a great guy for DoHS. he could fix that POS while protecting civil and constitutional rights. make much less a financial black hole and /Gasp actually secure the borders.

Wait...you can't spend DKP for taxes? Hmmmm...I think I might have a problem...
