Giuliani said it was better to err on the side of caution. "This country has never, ever, I believe, gotten in trouble by exaggerating a threat," he said. "We've gotten ourselves more into trouble when we underestimate a threat."
Wonder what color the sky is in his world...

Yeah, he needs to work on that message some more. He sounds like Al Gore on global warming.

And they thought Kerry was a flip-flopper?!?
Rudy is in favor of gun control, but in favor of the individual right to bear arms. This guy is doing all he can to confirm my opinion that he is a joke.

I can't stand Rudy, in fact I can't stand a single person who is trying to run for president. Someone save me.

I am the same way, please own guns if you must, but i dont see need for assault rifles, automatic weapons and things of that nature, so I am in favor of gun control and much stricter laws on guns, but all for people owning them.

Automatic weapons? They are already illegal to own in many states, and if you can get a permit to own one its an extremely long process to go through, simply put you are not going to get a permit unless you are law enforcement. Assualt rifles? Any semi-auto hunting rifle can be considered an assualt rifle...I can put a clip in my pump rifle and pump out shots as fast as I can pull the trigger. Its a slippery slope.

Straight from his "We should be bombing Iran yesterday" foreign policy team. No thanks, I'll take a pass on anyone more authoritarian and militaristic than Bush.

I watched Meet The Press this morning, and Ron Paul was really a convincing speaker, much to my surprise.
And, Giuliani may have Robertson, but Huckabee has Chuck Norris!

Anyone that has Chuck Norris is gonna win.....
I heard Huckabee on the radio on Friday, and he sounds like a pretty decent moderate candidate....

“Sometimes we talk about why we’re importing so many people in our workforce,” the former Arkansas governor said. “It might be for the last 35 years, we have aborted more than a million people who would have been in our workforce had we not had the holocaust of liberalized abortion under a flawed Supreme Court ruling in 1973.”
-Mike Huckabee, moderate or batshit insane?

The two are not mutually exclusive in the Republican Party.

Moderate if your social standards are based in the 16th century, sure.
I can't stand Rudy, in fact I can't stand a single person who is trying to run for president. Someone save me.
That's exactly how I felt until I did a bunch of research on Ron Paul. I have to say at bare minimum if he does a portion of the things he wants to do, I am more than willing to take a chance voting for him. I think if he could he would change the government, to be more by the word of the consitution then by the $$ they get by lobbist. I have to agree I dont agree with everything he says, but the majority.

Biggest problem with folks running to make change is that the Congress has the voting power to make the changes, and will only vote for those things they are favorable to, or benefit from, which is why there has never been meaningful campaign reform.

Which is why when it comes time for Congressional pay raises, it passes almost unopposed.....

Our Govt absolutely needs major reform.
1) National Sales tax..ala Fairtax.org
2) Complete transparency, no more earmarks/pork/gravy added to a bill, they all get voted on seperately.
3) No lobboyists allowed, period
4) Once your term is over as Sen/congressman/etc etc unless you've served 20 years(same as our military) you get jack after you leave your seat.
5) Change our "cash to other countries* policy....
I'm rambling here, and there are other issues imho....
But unless the person seeking the post of President can start working to this list I'm really not interested.
I don't want more of the Bush clique and I really don't want more of the Clinton crew. Same ole same ole doesn't interest me.

The very first quote on the Ron Paul page Sanchek linked seems to sum up the problem with the American population nicely. Can you believe this is an 18 year old?i hate ron paul my fiancee has an uncomfortable passion for him. sometimes i feel like he loves ron paul more than me. he is just a stupid politician. i think politics sucks. im `18 and im not voting for anybody. if i decide to vote ill vote barack. he doesnt seem to have a chance anyway.it
i think its dumb to become so wrapped in one person. no one man is going to make the world a better place only God can do that.iknow everybody is going to be like whatever but you will soon find out that im right.
