And the thuggish behavior continues. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JWeE9KqZjQ) For those that missed this past weekend's brawl, check it out. This program has become ridiculous. Larry Coker needs to be fired, and the entire football program needs to be suspended for the rest of the season. Make them forfeit the remaining schedule. A message needs to be sent that this doesn't fly in the real world. Listen to the commentary on the CSS broadcast by a former Miami football player in the broadcast booth, and tell me they don't have a problem.

What speaks volumes is their actions on the suspensions. Look at what each team has done...
Florida International has kicked off 2 players and suspending like 18 indefinately.
Miami hasn't even extended the 13 suspensions to more than 1 game. Looks like there is only 1 guy that is getting an indefinite suspension.

The ex -Miami player that was in the announcing booth has been fired. So, let me get this straight, his comments (while completely deplorable) were more unacceptable than the players that actually participated in the brawl and stomped on people?
The NCAA should step in and suspend the entire Miami football team if Coker is going to be so soft on his players. Coker should be fired immediately (which the University has stated won't happen).
This is the worst black eye on American sports since the Pacers/Pistons/Fans brawl.

Well in fairness, it was CSS who fired the announcer, and not Miami, but yeah I get your point. I went to UM's website and sent their president an email about the situation. I think it's ridiculous that they are treating this so softly. I think if anything else is going to happen now, it will have to come down from the NCAA. Maybe the media will put pressure on them.
Did you notice that there were no police on the field? I don't blame them for not getting into that mess but maybe an arrest would be warranted?
I could see that escalating in the stands very quickly.

Coker's comments were priceless. The man was peddling for his job stating how it was an "unfortunate incident" then dodged the suspensions and went on and on how he was the right guy to coach them during their rebuilding phase, etc...
And here's the real irony....

This Saturday, the Miami Dade Police Department will bring about 700 children to the Miami vs. FIU football game as part of the program.
That's right. They brought 700 kids to see the game as part of this Join a sport, not a gang program and this crap breaks out.

Pacers/Pistons/Fans brawl.
Was quite possibly the most entertaining thing I have ever witnessed in professional sports. I hate watching basketball, but I made sure I watched the next time these two teams played!
