After reading the post on Vaxumgax, I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to check on old accounts to see if they are being used. Can a GM tell you the last time a character was logged in or if the account is still active or not? Or is there some online database search on the EQ site to do this?

Also if someone did steal your account, what information would you need to give Sony to get it back. Is there a link to go to or phone number to call? For the billing information, what is needed from there, CC #, address, etc?

Sounds like you sold an account a long time ago and want to see if anyone still plays it and you are considering recalling it for your self and keeping the cash, but jsut my 2 cents.

The wacky thing about Sony is that they want your original credit card info if you ever need to solve a problem. I'm not sure I could dig that up; I won't change the account billing any more even though I have a new card I want to use, just in case there's ever some wacky problem with my account.

To get your old account back if you Lost your password or forgot station name goto everquest site and click on everquest Live ,then support and Accounts and billing.

if that is not helpfull you can call sony ,they will ask for these details.
1. Cd codes from Original Everquest cd
2. Last 4 digits of Original credit card
3 Original e mail used

This was how it was a while ago BUT it can go this way.
1.Random cd codes
2.Confirmation of *Current* credit card used for billing
3.Date of birth
4 Emails used for registration

You are dealing with random phone operators ,some work differently to others.

its allways best to make a note of all credit cards and Emails used ,and also to request this info when buying an Account.

Last 4 digits in respect of credit cards.

Also when buying an Account you can check who has had this Account and when and for how long by doing the following.

1. Goto everquest site
2.goto my Account
3.Underneath *View Registration* is small letters saying Registration | Profile | Billing Info

click on Billing info ,you will see a list of transactions with codes,click on the codes and you will see the name and adress of user. to see the complete list click View all.

This can help if your a buyer and get scammed later on when payment has gone through,as you now know who they are and where they are..
