Old game: Starcraft
New Problem:
The situation is that I have 2 copies of Starcraft. They each have their own CD keys etc etc. Everything is legit. I have a home LAN with 3 systems and they are sharing a single cable connection from Adelphia. My external (ISP)IP is assigned dynamically and my router (LinksysBEFSX41) uses DHCP to assign the LAN IP addresses. All the computers have a 10/100 switch connecting them to the router which is 4 port and also has a print server, network HDD and wireless access point plugged into the remaining ports. I have the proper port forwarding done 6112 to 6119 (TCP/UDP)and 4000 (TCP/UDP) set to the IP of the computer that is hosting the game on Battle.Net. If the game is just me and someone on one of my LAN computers playing against the computer, it works. But, who wants to do that on BNet since you can just do a LAN game, right?
So we make a "3vs3comps" game. Buddy of mine is hosting on the machine with the port routed IP and I join it. Third person joins from outside location and we start the game. It takes forever for the game to sync and then when it finally starts its lagged to shit and everyone quits the game. Supposedly its because the BNet is seeing my two machines as being on the one ISP IP address and it makes it have a seisure.
Yah, Starcraft is an old game but supposedly there might be a fix out there and perhaps someone here might know what it is.....besides buying 2-3 external fixed IP addresses. Gaming Cafes get Starcraft to work on their LANs and B.Net, probably without having to have an external IP address for every computer. Any help would be much appreciated.
