Earlier yesterday EA (Elecronic Arts) and Maxis announced a September 7th release date for Wil Wright's much anticipated phased evolution simulator Spore (http://www.spore.com/).

Good god, September? Keeps getting pushed back! Still though, I know I'll buy it when it comes out, looks like it will be fun.

Pushed back? This is the first official release date that has been announced. Thats why its such big news. People have expected it to be released at certain times, but to my knowlege there has been no official date until now.

I'm just happy its finally got a release date. This is probably the new release that I am looking forward to the most in the next 2 years.

I remember the video that bounced around where Robin Williams was introducing Spore. It looked cool then, it still looks cool. I think I'll check it out :)

Final Fantasy 13 and Gran Turismo 5 are the ones I'm looking forward too the most. I'll buy a PS3 when one of them is on the market for me to enjoy.

I thought I had read that this had crept into 2009. Good for us.
