I hope this link works. I read Ron Glasser's opinion piece in today's St Paul Pioneer Press and was simply dumbstruck at the grasp this man has of the events our leaders have orchestrated.

And, he did a nice job of showcasing the ambivalence of so many of my son's generation, who only really seem to want to pay attention to events when their own concerns are at risk. Yes, I know, that is a bad generalization, but I see that side of the coin more than the involved one, unfortunately.

All the other crap aside, I would like to have a candidate to opt for that understands how to learn from past mistakes, and history. Wishful thinking?

Edit: Seems the link works. I have learned something new again, hehe.

If you're using Firefox, look for an extension called BugMeNot, it lets you pass many of those registrations.

It's an interesting article, but nothing that hasn't been said before, and it draws comparisons that many people tried to make before we invaded Iraq. Unfortunately this is not the type of topic where, "I told you so," is fun to say, and I wish to all ends that our leaders would start to listen.
