Or maybe instead of poo flinging we could all just agree that whatever the reasons behind him surviving it's funny to see him flip the insurgency off.

That is dedication to what you believe is worth fighting to protect. After such a close brush with death with a bomb and then thinking about making sure no one else saw him weak at that point to keep morale up, simply amazes me and reaffirms my support of our troops, regardless of what the war is being fought for. Brave people. Extremely brave.
