True Story!

Few years ago in Texas the Hispanics became the majority. I went and downloaded the figures from a State website, and proceded to call various institutions of higher learning accross the state. I stated since I was a white male and now in the minority according to the state did I qualify for the minority benefits. The answer was what I expected I was told that no since i am white I am not a minority. Even when I faxed them the papers they still stated that being white was not a minority. How is that for a double standard?

Texas is not an entity unto itself. It is part of the United States where white people are very much the majority.

If you were the only white person in your neighborhood, you wouldnt qualify. Or the only white male standing in line for an ice cream cone you wouldnt qualify, or the only white person in a car, still no.

I should also say i was asking about state assistance which does not go by federal guidelines.
