They should drop one of these on several red states just for giggles.

Most bizarre among the plans was one for the development of an "aphrodisiac" chemical weapon that would make enemy soldiers sexually irresistible to each other. Provoking widespread homosexual behaviour among troops would cause a "distasteful but completely non-lethal" blow to morale, the proposal says. This will win us many, many, many wars.

red states

You know, every time I read this, I picture Joe McCarthy transformed into a modern self-styled Liberal Intelligentsia, railing out against the forces of an imagined evil that his mind can't understand despite that it only exists there.

Oh Pshaw Malse.
There have been regional rivalries since the country was first founded. Its a built in check and balance in democracy.
Conservatives paint liberals as evil that want to destroy the country and liberals paint conservatives as evil that want to destroy the country.
Wether it be federalists and whigs, North v. South or Democrats v. Republicans. Its the same song just a different dance.
Its been this way long before we were born and will be this way long after we are dead.
The only irony I can see is that you are calling a section of people evil for calling a section of people evil
railing out against the forces of an imagined evil
indeed.

Well hey, at least being a few days behind the rest of the Internet seems to have dulled your angst. Normally, you would've pulled out some racist picture you copied from the FoH screenshots forum (you know... where you copied this link from).

Yes, and just as many of these "conflicts" were political creations built on gross generalizations and misconceptions, having little to nothing to do with anything real. I'm not calling anyone evil, the true irony here is the New Red Scare -- anyone who votes against us is obviously not competent to make up their own mind.

Classy stand from the self-imagined champions of civil liberty.

OH NOZ I R BEHIND THE INTRAWEB, ELHP

Stop to be Jimmy Fallons Tech Support character from SNL long enough to realize you mock yourself.

Malse-
All politcal debate depends on each side trying to control the backdrop and the setting. Realpolitik is the game and the rules dicate the behavior needed to survive. Thats the brutal thing about politics, moral platitudes are nice words and sound great in speeches but in reality they get you eaten alive.
Its like long distance running, the pace is set, and even if you dont like it, you must keep up, or fall back, out of the race.

Back to the original subject, I'll bet the Pentagon scrapped the whole idea when someone pointed out the ancient Spartans (known for kicking a lot of ass in the old days) were known to frequently practice homosexuality.

- Aye, they were encouraged, infact, as it was seen to create close bonds of fellowship between soldiers, and make them more manly.

But I'll go one further and suggest the Pentagon scrapped it after taking one step back and realising what a fucking stupid idea it is.

This is the same Pentagon that spent $20 million on "remote viewing" psychics.
