Spoke with someone very close to me who is agency affiliated and the field people are very angry with Cheney and straight out say that the Bush administration had shown them no support and even layed the blame directly on the field level officers.

Eh, I meant I'm fairly confident that Pelosi knew and is acting like she knew but is trying to sell us a bill of goods.

So what if she knew? She didn't order any of the torture and it would have been a violation of the patriot act for her to say anything. She is saying that the briefing officers misled congress and they do...even Barry Goldwater had said that during the Reagan administration.

LOL...there is actually a group of people who believe the CIA would never lie to congress.

Well, the CIA has been shown to be untruthful when it comes to those so-called meetings where allegedly Democrats were told what was going on. For at least one meeting, the briefers turned away the aide who was going in place of the Senator, and the CIA later claimed that the aide was briefed. In several other cases, the CIA claimed that ex-Senator Graham was present at some briefings, while Graham's notes showed clearly that not only were no meetings held on such dates, that the CIA was stalling him on his questions.
