I looked at the scores for the past few years. lol @ the 28% correct for the month of March 2008.
However, the site says it is experiencing technical difficulties when I attempt the quiz.... so I can't see where I rank :(

I was wondering that too.
Grey, the Dow question is currently wrong, but wasn't until the past few days.

Maybe because nobody is perfect? I tend to be average (69%)

No, if 12/12 is 97%, that indicates that 3% are better than perfect.

Unless you can somehow answer 13 out of 12 correct.....
Maybe there's an 'easter egg' on the site somewhere, that gets you that extra 3%?

It means 97% of people scored strictly less than your score (so 3% got 12/12, everyone else scored less than that).
Some definitions of "percentile" use "strictly less than", which allows for a percentile of 0% but not 100%. Some definitions use "less than or equal to", which allows for a percentile of 100% but not 0%.

Here's Your Score: You correctly answered 10 out of the 12 possible questions, which means you did better on the quiz than 83% of the general public.
I answered that the Dow is at 10k, what is it? And I think I got the Soviet Independance one wrong I said Chechnya. I'm totally unsure on both those but the others were crazy easy.

11.5k today and most of the week been hovering around eleven except for a little drop closer to ten but mostly closer to 12k than 10k

Don't feel bad about the Dow. It was under 11k just 3 days ago.

Question 12 is sort of misleading, the Dow one is a bit of trick as well (yes, the correct answer isn't hard but most people who follow stocks know the dow went below 12)
