Yes I'm a carnivore, and yes I'm proud I take my son out fishing and to steak dinners.

So that apparently means PeTA is going to target kids??

WTF is wrong with you amoral inbred skinny sickly sobs?

Heh, I've got to agree. PETA is hurting its cause with this sort of bullshit - all this does is turn more people off to the idea of being vegetarian. I can think of about a thousand and one good, valid arguments against the consumption of meat, and this definitely isn't one of them.

The "psychological damage" allegedly resulting from these pamphlets is probably overstated, but yeah, PETA only looks retarded when they do this stuff. A few months ago they ran an exhibit comparing their interpretation of "cruelty to animals" to slavery. Looks like they still have part of it on their website slideshow (http://www.peta.org/AnimalLiberation/display.asp). They didn't anticipate that comparing blacks to animals would incur a negative response. They haven't learned any lessons since.

Peta supports breed specific extermination of dogs. So much for the treatment of animals.

They're definately crossing the line more and more. Sliding further into extremism.

The handout, titled "Your Daddy Kills Animals," features a grinning lunatic gutting a fish, and warns kids to keep their puppies and kittens away from Dad because he's "hooked on killing."

That is wrong on so many levels. Sometimes Freedom of Speech kind of sucks :(

A few months ago I remember reading that one of the higher ups from PETA was arrested for dumping animal carcases in dumpsters.

I agree with PETA on this point that both fish and chickens are our friends. They also make for some great grilling too.

I think if I caught a PETA-head handing one of these out to one of my grandkids, I would grab the sucker and force a hamburger down his or her throat.

The problem with freedom of speech is even the idiots get their say.

Many animal lovers don't understand that PETA advocates the entire liberation of animals. That means all pets must be turned loose, no animals can be consumed, and animals can be used in no way for medical research of any type. They have been linked to fire bombing research labs. Oh, and one of their VPs takes insulin derived from animals and claims that she can get away with it because she needs her life to save animals. Hypocrite.

If you really want to see an interesting piece on PETA, watch Penn and Teller's show "Bullshit" on Showtime (2nd season episode I believe). In fact, the whole series is eye-opening and hilarious at the same time.

Under the power of the Patriot Act the FBI should do the following:

1) Classify PETA as a terrorist organization and begin detailed investigation of their links to groups such as ELF and ALF.

2) Remove PETA's tax exempt status for being a non profit organization. It has been proven that some of their funding has gone to criminals and criminal organizations.

Personally if I had the means I would love to stage an open pit BBQ in the parking lot of PETA Headquarters. Its long past time that PETA got a taste of its own medicine.

I eat meat. I wear leather. I believe in animal experimentation. I believe in the rights of hunters. Last I believe that fur can be worn (although it is a bit gaudy). I guess that makes me that epitome of evil.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. They're a bit too far out on the fringe to be effective as an organization.

What bothers me the most is that PETA wasn't always this way, and by and large, they've done more good than bad (in my opinion, at any rate); while their current position reflects a complete withdrawal from the meat industry, animal testing, etc., they used to be a lot more in favor of compromise.

Speaking of PETA I saw this and thought of them.

I think like allot of PACs and other interest groups some have or started off with good intentions but some where along the line they became finatics. PETA honestly scares me along with Green Peace and those people who are so against abortion they reason they should bomb clinics and snipe doctors. Crazyiness.

LOL, wonderful pic.

Wish I had seen that before the holiday, so I could have made up some place mats or cards, hehe.
