Today I took out my eyebrow piercing which I've had for about a year now. I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to get the wound to heal quicker, and possibly get rid of the discoloration? It looks like I have two red bumps on my eyebrow. =(

If you have swelling, try ice-- on for 20 minutes, off for an hour. Keeping it clean with the same solution you used when you first got the piercing works well. Try cleansing it twice a day -- once in the morning, once at bedtime. AND KEEP YOUR FINGERS OFF IT.

That is all.

The skin in the face heals rather quickly fortunately, I think it took a friend like a month or so to be basically rid of it. While on the other hand I took out my navel piercing a frigging year ago and the upper hole is still really visible and looks like it's still completely functional, heh.

Like Cara said, clean it and keep your fingers off it.

It's so hard not to rub it. I'm so used to having the ring there that I'm fascinated by the fact it's gone. Stupid me. =(

Like the others said just keep it clean and don't irritate it. If you don't mind looking like a Nelly impersonator, you might consider putting a bandaid on it too.

I had an eyebrow ring on my right eyebrow that got infected bad, so i took it out. It was really bad with blood and such so i covered it with a band aid fer a few days just in case. It healed up real nice. Been about 2 years since its been out and there's no mark really. I dont know if you use it, but Saline Solution works HOT-damn well. 8o

That's one piercing you don't wanna take out for very long. My dentist made me take it out one time and I didn't put it back in right away, within 24 hours it had sealed back up :/
