I was disappointed in the second one, but this one looks promising.

I can't wait for this; I've been waiting since the end of the 2nd one.

Oh yeah, definately going to see this one.

Of course I'm really looking to get all 3 on Blue ray and watch them with a good sound system at home....!

Gotta remember #2 was only a bridge in the series setting up the finally. I'll be there opening weekend for sure.

Wow. That trailer gave me the oh-face.

Looks like it has potential to be the best of them all.

Saw the thread title and thought of Pimps at Sea and not the movie. #2 needed major help in the "making sense" and "being entertaining" categories, hopefully they worked all that out. Visually, of course, should be awesome.

Its looking real good so far.. I'm so ready for it to come out. I usually get movies on them umm special DVD version as soon as they open up in the theaters.. but thiis I may go see it :D
Hey anyone else noticed that part where they showed the ship sailign on the sand in what looks like a desert area?

Despite number 1 being slightly dull, and number 2 a bit of a mess narratively, I'm still somewhat of a fan, but the gf loves them. Look forward to this one. And Keith Richards? Nice.

Saw it last night. It was entertaining. I'd say it was on par with 2, but with more action. Was kinda hard to follow in some parts, and I wasn't particularly happy with where they went with the story. All in all, it was entertaining and worth seeing, just be warned, the ending isn't what you'd probably expect it to be.

Neither was Number 2, though. Got my ticket for Sunday, looking forward to it a lot, so will stay out of this thread until then, incase of spoilers :P

Hollywood reporter has stated that Depp has indicated to producers/directors a willingness to do a #4. But who can believe these Hollywood shills.

Saw it today; they totally left it open for more. I was hoping they would close it and I don't really like how this one ended. It was a bit darker than the other two; it was ok I guess.

I'm disappointed with movies so far this year: Spiderman3, Shrek3, and pirates3 and none were like WOW OMG awesome. Transformers better not let me down :(

Transformers better not let me down :(
If Micheal Bay screws up Transformers i'll be exremly dissapointed. It looks promising so far, but looks can be deciving.

Just saw Pirates tonight, and it was a good deal better than the second, maybe not quite as good as the first. Much improved experience if seen in theaters rather than waiting for the DVD in my opinion. Also, stay until the end of the credits.

Arggh what did we miss at credits end? I stayed for the ending of 2 and got a good chuckle what was in 3s?

Basically, without spoiling the story for those who haven't seen it, the end sequence with the finally-weds is revisited in light of the events at the end of the movie.

To be honest, I thought it was a real mess. Some good, classic parts, but most of it seemed tosh.

Honestly.. you could have cut out the first two hours, just kept the last half hour and it wouldn't have detracted from the final product. Infact, it may have made it better.

Too bloated, messy narratively, and muddled to make it better than the first two. That said, the last half hour was a blast.

About 6/10 - and I waited so long for it too :/

****SPOILLLLLLLLLLLLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSS*****
****SPOILLLLLLLLLLLLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSS*****
****SPOILLLLLLLLLLLLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSS*****

After the credits is Elizabeth on a cliff, and "10 years Later" fades in as a young boy comes to her side. They watch the sunset and the green flash happens as you see Will leaning off the rigging in a more white outfit smiling. That's it.

Im mad as hell. I figured out the fucking movie after the 2nd one ended. Just like SPiderman 3, take out the WHOLE CALYPSO story line rewrite some small bits and it would probable be a better movie. I was disappointed to the fact i want my money back.

Yeah... what the hell was the whole Calypso thing?

Just so unnecessary.

**End Credits Spolier**

It was pretty poorly done too... Elizabeth looks exactly the same age. They did nothing to try to make her look 10 years older lol.

So hugely better than 2. It wasn't great cinema, but was a great popcorn flick, and that Ennio Morricone tribute on the sandbar got me happy in pants. Some sort of close-up on Calypso and Davey would have be nice, but that's my only real complaint.
