Does anyone else just love the Pixies music? I actually like much of Frank Black's solo stuff and Kim Deal (the Breeders) stuff too :)


Awesome stuff.

I have seen Frank Black perform a few times in Atlanta. Usually at smaller clubs and that is where you get the best show. He doesn't put out arena type stuff as a solo effort. Good stuff. Its funny to see him on stage rock'n out because he is a shorter, chubby bald guy. Kinda like seeing an accountant who moonlights as a rock star.

haha. Yeah he is probably 5'9'' and 300lbs. He was chunky back when he was young but the baldness makes him look like a bouncer or something.

I envy you! I would love to see him at a smaller club or what ever.

I've seen them Live a few times. Sasquatch Festival at the gorge and the year before at the Les Schwaab Amphitheatre. They were pretty incredible. Good stuff. Probably my favorite band of all time.

I am fast becoming a huge Pixie fan.... I have been listening to the Breeders and Charles' solo stuff.... I like a lot of it also.

I am watching loudQUIETloud right now which is a documentary on the 2004 reunion. I am lovin' it. :)

I saw them a few years back at Music Midtown in Atlanta. They closed Saturday night. They were great live.
