Just wanted to say thanks to FD for their support (or lack thereof). To sum it up, I zoned into Plane of Fear (yeah ok, not my brightest moment) and died. So I tell a cleric friend of mine, who is a new recruit to FD, what happened. She gets an enchanter friend of hers (who's in FD) as well as a RiP SK to come and help.

After several attempts at rezzing the corpses we weren't having any luck. So they all decide to ask in guild for some help. The cleric and enchanter were told that they needed to log and wait until FD had more on to get the bodies back (there were about 15 FD members on at the time). RiP however showed up shortly after being asked with a single group.

So basically I want to thank the group from Rip for all the help. And to tell FD that I understand you weren't capable of handling a CR.

I am a recruit to FD and all of them have always been more then willing to help me when I needed it. That being said. When I did something stupid the other day and died where I was having trouble getting to my corpse instead of bothering the people who are enjoying playing the game to come help me for 45 minutes I just went to PoK /ooc'd and found _random_necro_001 payed him 1k and had him help me.

Another situation is that when I joined FD most of them were keyed for VT I had 3 more shards to get. So instead of asking them to sit through those hell camps. I payed the same necro 5k to help me get the shards.

I have found in this game it works better to find the help yourself instead relying on others to do it for you. I am not saying don't ask for help. Which I have done and the members of FD have been more then willing to help me but if you ask for help and others are not able to drop what they are doing to come save your dumbass from a zone you should have read a little more about before zoning in the worst thing you can do is attempt to flame them on the forums.

Just a thought... in his post he mentioned that FD had said they were willing to help, but wanted to wait until they had sufficient bodies to avoid wiping. Then at the end of his post, he said he understood why they would not try it with the forces they had online at the time. By saying RiP was able to do it with one group and FD not, he was calling out FD? It seems like something was just assumed. When I read it I honestly thought he was saying thank you to RiP and "Thanks anyway" to FD. Everyone's so negative. :(

I could be wrong and maybe that's why he posted it in NAG, but maybe, just maybe, it came out just off enough that everyone jumped to flame when the original post wasn't intended in anything but a good-spirited nature. I must be one of the half-full types!
