So, apparently the group Live Action has crafted another set of videos like what they did with the ACORN group in order to try to discredit Planned Parenthood.
An interesting story in and of itself, but in the article I linked, it references the videos made by the group against ACORN, and noted that they were heavily edited and after a lengthy investigation found that there was nothing wrong done by any ACORN workers, and that the videos were seemed to be clearly doctored. The new videos that they released about Planned Parenthood seem to be similarly doctored.
So, I honestly never closely followed the whole ACORN thing, finding it to be a pretty absurd story, but at the time that it was big news, I never did hear that the videos were heavily edited by any of the articles I read at the time. Also, I didnt hear about the results of the investigation into it that discredited the videos.
Was this just me? Did I just miss all this somehow - while I'm not a huge daily news crawler, I do tend to visit a few news sites daily to keep up on what's going on at least.
Also, why werent there charges brought against this Live Action group for fraud/slander? Will there be if their latest set of videos turns out to be doctored as well? If not, then does this mean anyone can slap together a set of doctored videos and release them to the press to take down an organization via PR?
