^ - This is hardly representative of Christianity as a whole... suggesting as much is simply incorrect.
Yes, I consider a number of "televangelists" to be crooks in the sense suggested in the above article, but it does not embody what I or many, many other Christians (from whatever religious flavor) believe, practice or represent.

And you know them by there fruits. Id say those are some rotting stinking fruits.
Whats sad, even outrageous are those giving thousands of dollars to these christian frauds and crooks. When they dont have the money to give, since alot of them are in debt, and are using credit and loans.
These so called followers of jesus, are nothing more then a bunch of mindless sheep who flock to fools gold, wrapped in glitter and illusions.

The Copelands are the W.C. Fields of modern Christianity. They have figured out how to easily separate the money from the dumb.

How are these "followers" different from the Limbaugh and Hannity and Beck (or for that matter Mathews and Olbermann and Maddow) followers ? They are searching for something which fits what they want to believe, and it is easier to be gullible and believe than to invest time and energy into investigation and seeking truth.
Personally, I think a lot of these charlatans will go by the wayside when government wises up and starts taxing religions just like any other big business.

I know some folks who used to work at Focus on the Family down in Colorado Springs. The people who work in the mailrooms had to change into a uniform in a locker room. This uniform lacked pockets because so many folks sent cash in envelopes. The lack of pockets made it much harder for the staff to steal any of the cash. Lately, FotF has been in the news because they aren't going to meet their $158,000,000 budget.
As for the prosperity theology folks, they're preaching the exact opposite of what every copy of the Bible I've seen has printed in it. The Copelands, as well as other prosperity theology scammers are preaching the word of Satan, not that of Jesus.
Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Render unto God what is God's.
Instead, the bushies and prosperity theology folks turn it into render unto Caesar what is God's. So to paraphrase an old joke, a priest, a reverend and Kenneth Copeland are talking about how they divide up the donations. The priest says, "I draw a circle on the ground, I throw the money in the air, what falls inside the circle belongs to the church, the rest I keep." The reverend says "I do something like that, I also draw a circle on the ground and throw the money in the air. What falls in the circle is to pay for my family and expenses, what falls outside the circle is for the church." And they look at Ken, and he says "I don't bother with the circle. I throw the money up, and whatever God wants, He can keep."

After over 500 years it's amazing how we are still finding "new" quatrains.
