Looks like Bush is Ayonae Ro's poll winner. Okay. Starting a game. Who will be president of the United States next year? By how much will he win? The one who names the correct winner (to be confirmed, assuming we don't pull another Florida) and the closest election figures (in electoral college votes) will earn a special title (such as political pundit, freak, prophet, etc).
You have until 9:00 pm PST tonight to post (don't forget about daylight savings). After which time, subsequent posts will be ignored, and the winner announced.
Time is up. Thanks for your participation!
* Prize is not eligible to those already with a title (perhaps I will make an exception if you ask me), especially Buyza who is doomed to have his title for life. If you edit your post, you are automatically disqualified. No exceptions.

Early reasults have Ohio going to Bush; so are Wisconsin and New Mexico. We're going to have to see rural Ohio make a huge swing to Kerry or he's going to have to take Florida.
Nevada *might* come into play as well.
We'll know more in a few hours.

New Hampsire and Ohio are virtual ties. I'm going to call NH and OH for Kerry based on absentee ballots -- heavy (D) normally -- and give Bush Florida and let him keep Nevada. I think that we'll see the 4 votes in Maine split 2-2 (as they do that there), and we'll see Nebraska split to straight (R). [EDIT: Also, I'll let Bush win all of the four-corners states, even though AZ isn't going to be a landslide. AZ has some polls that have 5 hour lines still, and will be open until midnight.]
Score me for:
Kerry: 277
Bush: 261
Here's an easy toy for the rest of you:

Remember to split Maine's votes.

Hrm, Grey and I have the same pick. I stand by mine. I guess we'll have to share if we win.
Also, I guess mine is edited, but it was edited before the deadline to add a comment about AZ. Score me for 277 in this unedited post.

This is a nail biter, but I'm going with Kerry 275, Bush 263.
Cados, your missing 21 Electoral votes, I'm guessing you didn't assign PA to someone.

Its looking like Kerry is going to take Ohio (Cleveland Toledo and Dayton counties are only at 21% reported and Kerry only down 90,000)
Bush seems to have Florida locked up atm with 90% of votes in at 11pm and Kerry down 300k.
Its really too close to call, but I would give Bush the edge atm with significant leads in New Mexico and Arizona. Minnesota and Wisconson seem to be split and Michigan almost certain to be in Kerry camp.
Man, I dont know.. its fucking close

Don't forget to let us foreigners know who won, then we can take bets as to the first country that will be invaded or saved.

Keep dreaming L2; Bush is up 52/48 in Ohio, and Republicans expectations for voter turnout have been overwhelmingly exceeded so far!

Check out the county by county Semedi.
under 50% in the heavy urban and more populous northern counties of Cuyahoga (Cleveland), Lucas (Toledo) and Hamilton (Cincinatti)
Thats the bulk of the population.
Its not dreaming, its political reality

You forgot Summit ( Akron ). Though I admit Franklin isn't as good as I had hoped.
Milwaukee and Dane counties are coming in moving WI up on the Kerry map.

Keep dreaming L2; Bush is up 52/48 in Ohio, and Republicans expectations for voter turnout have been overwhelmingly exceeded so far!Expect high absentee balloting, late college voting (long lines) and rural areas (D) to be the last things counted. Ohio isn't decided.
