- Rather sad news. Perhaps not necessitating a post but I loved his books when I was younger (and still do). The Carpet People was the first "grown up" book I read, and have admired Pratchett for many years.

It's quite effecting to see how a great imagination will undoubtedly come to a sad, but perhaps gradual, end.

I enjoy him a lot. Palarran is often quick to quote him :)

Pratchett and Jordan and errr Gemmel gone in the last year.

Good journeys to them, they gave me much to ponder and enjoy over the years.

Discworld, there's a series I haven't thought about in a loooonnnggg time....
Sorry to hear about his health.
Who knows? There may be a treatment developed that could prolong his life and quality of life as well.
Don't give up yet, Terry!

I think I might still have the Discworld PC game around here somewhere, from back in the Windows 3.1 days. Yeah, it is sad that minds such as this can have such tragic fates waiting for them.
