It looks like the original progression everquest server is about to finally catch up to the normal servers. (good odds they do it by end of july).

Apparently the devs leaked that they'll probably start a new progression server one of these days....

i MAY start a new toon on this. I LOVE the concept, and i missed quite a few expansions. Wouldnt mind doing some of the old goodies too.

Started in the original progression server when it was in kunark, and made a lizard shaman...It's a mood thing. Be aware you will be playing with minimaxers galore, but it's a great place for someone to make the switch from casual to hard core.

What is a minimaxer?

min/maxer, player obsessed with optimizing everything, usually hardcore raider, possibly lives in a cellar, has never witnessed the sun.

Would be pimp if they do, I miss the old EQ, not this new shit.

For example, you will find plenty of two and three boxers. Melees who aren't boxing had better have regular partners, because they WILL get left behind by the overpowered casters (melees don't hit their stride till kunark).

You'd better know your potions, a level 25 shaman alt won't be a bad thing....

But the real fun is overfilled oldworld dungeons: a full lower guk, nagafen's lair, even kedge.

Even City of Mist gets crowded in kunark (something that never happened when I played the first time!). And nothing beats a full sebilis.

Please keep us posted if you hear anything about a new progression server.

Though a couple questions, when the progression server started was it *exactly* like EQ when it started or did they have the sped up gameplay like they have now?
