No, seriously (http://www.exim.gov/about/leadership/mcleland.htm) :p

Former U.S. Senator Max Cleland (D-GA) is a member of the board of directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank). President George Bush nominated Cleland on Nov. 21, 2003. He was subsequently confirmed by the Senate and sworn in on Dec. 15, 2003 for a term expiring January 20, 2007. He shows up for work one day per week, votes, and goes home. Makes $163,000 per year.

He's trashing the president for Kerry's campaign, and getting paid to do it on my dime?

That's fucked. where can I sign up?

Cleland volunteered for duty in Vietnam and was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1968. He was seriously wounded in a grenade explosion that year, costing him both legs and his right arm. He was awarded the Bronze Star and a Silver Star for gallantry in action. Cleland holds a master’s degree in American History from Emory University. He majored in history at Stetson University. Both institutions subsequently awarded him honorary doctorate degrees. Cleland grew up in Lithonia, GA.

Man, fuck that guy. He should totally be building low-income housing rather than being on a board of directors for a bank on your dime.

Sarcasm dude. What better way to demonstrate the complete train wreck these allegations and return accusations are turning into for Kerry :p

"oh nos! Bush and the Swift Vets used the same stapler at Office Depot! COLLUSION!"

I think Kerry is a plant by Karl Rove so Hillary can get elected in 2008.

Kerry can sign form 180 and if he has nothing to hide his troubles will all go away.

To play devil's advocate though Winter, if Kerry has to release his medical records, so should GWB. Also, both should have to take a drug test, something that GWB has refused in the past. I'm not saying that Kerry isn't a coke head or anything, but would be interesting if both parties had to lay out all the items that they are requesting from each other. Lets get everything out in the open and see how the scales fall.

I personally am a conservative voter, and if I had been an American I would have voted for Reagan, Bush Sr and most other Republican candidates (though I have to say, Clinton was one of the most Republican Democrats I've ever seen LOL), but I find GWB somewhat........lacking. It's a good thing that his staff are more competent. I have all the respect in the world for Colin Powell and Donald Rumsfeld. And I have to admit, GWB has his moments where he does shine, but he also has his moments where he steps on his dick.

Unfortunately being Canadian, my ups and downs are biased because the only familiarity we have with US Politics is on the Federal level, so up until this election I didn't know if Kerry was something that was good enough to eat (though Heinz is /ba da boom). As far as his record goes, I would love to see what skeletons he's hiding.

Mr. Bush opened his military medical records for review by the press although they haven't been released to be reprinted in media publications. That's how the missed physical exam became public knowledge.

An AP reporter, accompanied by a military doctor, requested the same sort of access to Mr. Kerry's records and was denied.

Thanks, saved me some typing.

Instead of just tearing into all these guys, all Kerry has to do is open his records and put his money where his mouth is. The all signed affidavits testifying to their statements, and have asked Kerry to do the same if he wants to jawjack about it. They've exposed 3 of his lies so far, good thing he hadn't signed an affidavit yet. Wonder how many more we have to whittle out because he won't do it the easy way.
