Any artists here? I'm personally a meat and potatoes kind of guy--I actually like the boring layout because it looks like I'm being productive whilst at work ;-) Actually, that's kind of why I prefer OS X--the consistent UI, every app follows standards and form.

Cazic was part of the merger? I had a toon on Solusek-Ro to play with my nephew and one on Karana to play with my RL friend so the merger was perfect for me .
I dont remember Cazic as part of the mix. if it was forgive my senior moment and i would endorse something encompassing the origins as well.

Artisticly i'm very good with stick figures and non identifiable water colors. as far as cut and paste work i cut really well but tend to eat the paste more than not. sorry it's kinda tasty.

I've actually been playing with Poser some trying to come up with a similar (to the old MTG card) although different enough picture for the logo.

My son Ryan was playing on Sol Ro until getting banned, and when VS moved to the new ARo server he talked me into playing and rolled a new toon.

Amazing how so many new servers were created, only to disappear again down the road.....one must consider how long before WOW starts dropping, rather than creating, servers.

On a serious note, I think it should reflect omething about the game that brought us all together. I'd propose something to do with Everquest being a major component of it. Not necessairly the Goddess, Ayonae Ro per se, but something to do with the game, for sure....

Not sure about everyone else, but it would be nice if 'Ayonae Ro' could perhaps be the centre of the logo, with something EverQuest-ish forming the background. I know that's general, but so are most of the ideas I'm afriad :P It's hard to say what might work.

Would taking the flaming woman (which it has been said is copyright, but really who cares?) be advisable? It's quite a nostalgic figure for many on the forum.

Colours? Maybe red and black.. something moody and in keeping with the old ezboard forum colours?

Just some ideas. Hopefully others can chime in. Thanks again for taking the time, mucho appreciated!

My suggestion for the logo includes these elements:

- An unruly toddler throwing a complete tantrum on the floor.
- Sparks and explecitives should be pouring out of his or her mouth.
- There should be a wall with a lot of poo flung onto it.
- A nice red / orange color palette should help to indicate to new visitors that they are entering a hostile environment.
- Is there any way you can illustrate "intolerance"?
- Maybe you can extend the logo to a full blown banner. Split the two sides of the banner into right wing vs. left wing themes. But keep the wall with a lot of poo flung on it. Maybe you can have Obama flinging poo from his side of the political theme to GWB on the right side of the political theme.
- Is there any way you can include a picture of Poutine?
- Finally, there should be at least one reference to EQ, how about a 20x20 pixel area of the banner/logo with "Inny was Here" scribbled on it. That area should be representative to the whole on how much conversation revolves around EQ on this board.

I'd suggest avoiding the EQ-heavy stuff.

Every time I've ever suggested getting us a nicer theme, people came out of the woodwork about how they like the site not to look like a video gaming site while they're viewing it at work. Slap a fairy-fire-lady at the top, and that's right out the window.
