Anyone seen this movie yet?
I'm not sure how it went down in the US, being a british made movie but I really enjoyed it!

A few scenes in the movie really shocked me and made me sit up and go "Fuckin Hell".

I've lived in London so seeing the place deserted was a bit eerie. The scene when Selena rips into mark after he has been infected was a really bit surprise and I can't get it out of my head how violent it was although you could hardly see anything clearly.

When I ordered this movie I also got some "The League of Gentlemen" (no not the shit Connery movie) DVDs sent to me, damn British TV is so good I sometimes wish I was back there.

28 days later was a freakin good movie, I was really impressed by it. I think the only people that didnt like it are the 'hardcore goth' freaks that sit through every jason and freddy movie with a psycho grin on their face and then go home and pierce their weiner and take pictures of it :\ And since most of the 'buzz' around it or whatever was about it being kind of a horror movie it didnt get a huge mainstream audience it deserved. Very good flick though.

Was far from a Horror movie .. was more like a mirror that was asking you how you would react if suddenly you woke up and realized there was no longer "your world".

Pretty good movie indeed.

I loved 28 days later.. especially the beginning.. walking over that bridge that stretches over themes ( I think it originates somewhere around MOMA)

- WTF? The League of Gentlemen is one of the best British comedies around right now. Why on earth is that being sent with 28 Days Later? /boggle
Anywho, LoG is brilliant. Dry, dark, scary British humour (i just remembered you used to live here, but I dunno, maybe the Asians have warped your memories!).
Stuff that would make most people go 'Eh?!' *woosh*

N.B.
For anyone else who is interested further in some good British comedies, check out the first series of Alan Partirdge, or The Office (either series 1 or 2).
Those shows are legendary. Especially The Office.
There's not a Britishman in existence who wouldn't be familiar with the name Wormhan and Hog, Paper Traders.

Pretty good movie indeed. Could have been done without a happy ending, though.

It was marketed VERY poorly in the US.
If you went into this thinking it was a US made slasher film, you were going to be disappointed. If you went in knowing it was made in Europe and was going to have some moral plot twist in there that the whole movie revolved around, you were more likely to appreciate it.

Considering the budget they were on and the camera they used, the direction and photography were EXCELLENT. I expect huge things from that crew again.

The best thing I've heard about the whole thing: "Second, and this is what I really feel like saying, this film proves that Hollywood horror-film-making is 98% imaginatively-bankrupt money-wasting bullshit, by comparison. Sure, this film had the advantage of a great director, Danny Boyle of Trainspotting and The Beach, and a fine writer" from HERE (http://www.locusmag.com/2003/Reviews/Shirley07_28Days.html)

I haven't seen the shows these names come from, I'm guessing they came out in the last two years while I've been in Japan.

Strangely enough my wife likes the character Pauline in LoJ but you cant beat the butcher!

Special stuff? :P

Pauline is great. Ross and Pauline make a comic connection most acts can't garner these days. Good stuff.

And yeah, they've been around in the past 2 - 3 years. I don't count you as British any more though mate. You're one of them there Japs!
