Seems we are losing too many of our great Sci Fi/Fantasy authors of late.
Farmer, at 91, had earned the right to some rest, being one of the most prolific authors in the genre. While I never really got into the Riverworld series, I did love the concept as a weird take on the idea of reincarnation. In the obit, it was mentioned that at one point in the 70's he had 11 different series in various stages of completion. What a marvelous mind.
