Funny, I felt the same way in the Suns/Knicks game the other night. Amazing home-cookin. 41 fouls on the Suns.

Iowa, ISU, Michigan, etc...

A loss is a loss, but when the refs blow calls like forward progress ball spots to a yard line the guy never got to(on both sides of the ball), penalties, too many men on the field and not throwing the flags, etc. I'm not bitter about the loss it is the way it was lost. The refs are there to keep the game clean, and moving forward, not decide the winner. Would Iowa/ISU/Michigan scored after the onside kick/mysterious forearm touching the turf/hook and ladder with the whole Nebraska team on the field? I don't know, possibly not, but shouldn't the teams decide that and not the refs? Iowa should have had the ball, ISU shouldn't have had to punt, Michigan should have got another play from the 14 yard line since the game cannot end on a defensive penalty. These were game changing calls/no calls by the refs. I like watching 2 teams, who are evenly matched play. It makes for a much more exciting game. I don't like watching refs screw up and change the face/outcome of a game. If the roles would have been reversed for Iowa/ISU/Michigan, I'd still be pissed about it, maybe not as vocal. :) A blown call is a blown call. Doesn't matter who the teams are.

To be the best you need to beat the best. I wish every team brought their A game every week. It would be great to watch. There is nothing more disappointing than watching a team implode. This is why USC and Texas is supposed to be a great game. Both teams have brought their A games to the field consistantly. They have been saying this is going to be one of the greatest national title games. I hope they are right. I hope that it comes down to the last play. That is good football my friends. Not ref's screwing it up for fans of the game.

Sub standard confernces ref'n the bowl games. I bet there is a change next year...

Not all of us are. Some even cheer on the 'Clones, when they aren't playing Iowa. Though I was a little pissed that the Iowa D was calling Florida's cadance (sp?). That's a bit cold. And flag well deserved in my book.

For real. I feel like refs these days are the new Supreme Court. Dont need more activism, just call the plays! thx!

They do need a governing body. Though I think it will be felt in their pocketbooks when they don't get asked to ref the big games again. I don't think the BIG 10, BIG 12, SEC, ACC will put up with it. I foresee them taking matters into their own hands and having their refs on the field in the future bowl games. Either a split crew, or having a crew from a different conference. Will that fix the blown call here or there. Probably not, but will it minimize 'em, OH YEAH.

They seem to be handling the bowls this year like the NHL does the playoffs - No autopsy, no foul.

The ONLY good side is they seem to be blowing calls consistanly. Not as bad as being one sided on any conference.
