But you're taking over the boards with it.
These boards weren't created for the purpose of setting up meetings between you and your friends. Nor will I ever stop controlled posts to that purpose. But it got out of line, and you know it.

Could I have made a forum for it? Probably. But I'm not gonna make a forum every time a new trend is in town. If you want to run a dedicated forum to the purpose of organizing real life meetings I'll applaud your effort. But I won't do it.

Why not just ban the spammers making useless copy-cat threads instead of locking out people trying to get together with their neighbors. [YES, there is already the everquest.meetup.com service, but it's useless for a lot of areas. -- Mine included.]
