But I suppose it's more fun to ironically accuse me of living in the fairy tale just before you invent the fictional Republican to have an argument against.

As big a fantasy as you have of everyone in your party marching goosestep to traditional party doctrine, its just not true.

There is an ideological movement that had pretty much hijacked your party and dominated its ideology for quite some time. And most of you sheep have fallen right in line.

Movements inside ideologies are not uncommon, they happen all the time. It just so happens that the Neo Con one is larger and more successful than most.

The genealogy of this traces back to Leo Strauss and the University of Chicago. Strauss created a vanguard of students to change the course of conservatism.
They did just that.

But I guess you are right in a strange sense.. There is no NEO conservatives. The Strausseans have so successfully ingratiated themselves that the virus has become the host. Neo Conservatives have become all conservatives and the traditional Con is a forgotten anachronism.

You know, it is rather interesting, the comparison of the 2: Islam and Conservatism.

Both are good ideals that have been hijacked to disasterous results.

Proof to the statement that nothing in moderation will kill you, but anything in excess, will.
