I am not sure who of those still frequenting these forums might have known Kludiien the Druid (Garrett) in EQ, but he had been around since the early days. I knew him through our shared adventures in Lost Fires, and can attest to his being a selfless, classy guy.

We just received the info of his passing in February. Much, much too young to have left this life.

Rest in peace, Garett.

dang he is my RL buddy's cousin, he had lots of medical problems for years, sad to hear this news.

I just about fell over this morning when I found out You will be greatly missed Garrett (aka Kludiien).

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held for Garrett Michael Hale, age 27, at 11:00 am Thursday, February 12, 2009 at The Church of Christ with Rev. Ken Wright officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date. Garrett passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm, and on Thursday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.

Garrett was born April 7, 1981 in New Iberia to David Mark Hale and Susan Darby Hale. With his father in the military, Garrett attended many schools, but graduated from the Dept. of Defense RAF Menwith Hill High School in Harrogate, England. He returned to the United States to attend Penn State University. He would later begin a career with Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio with the Marketing Dept.

Garrett was a fun loving and witty person who enjoyed being active. Exercise and eating right was a daily part of his life. He also enjoyed being on the racquetball court. In his spare time, he enjoyed computer gaming. Garrett cherished his family and friends and will always be remembered for his kind ways and warm heart.

Survivors include his parents, USAF Ret. MSgt Mark Hale and Susan Darby Hale of Colorado Springs, CO; his sister, Ashley Nicole Hale of San Antonio, TX; and his maternal grandparents, Terrell and Dossie Darby of New Iberia; his aunts and uncles, Karyn Curro of Shreveport; Chad and Marinette Darby of Katy, TX; Mitch and Aimee Darby of New Iberia; Judy H. and Ronald Lasseigne of New Iberia; Patsy H. and Alton Darby, Jr. of New Iberia; Phillip and Delores Hale of Lafayette; Keith and Donna Hale of Chandler, AZ; Anita H. and Keith Brown of Plano, TX; Margie H. and Dwayne Amy of New Iberia; and Craig Hale of Mesa, AZ. He is also survived by a host of cousins, Nicholas and Matthew Barrilleaux, Brandon, Devynne, Sarah, Seth, Grant, Emilee, Hunter, Hailey and Fisher Darby, Kristin Labbe, Jill Guillotte, Alton Darby, III, Kimberly Darby, Gina, Chelsea, Shannon, Kerry, Wendall, Valarie, Brian and Jennifer Hale, Andrew McCarty, Kyle and Austin Brown, Stacey Landry, Lance Amy.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, R.J. Hale and Isa Jean Hale; uncles, Bobby J. Hale and Donald M. Hale; and cousins, Michael Hale, Brett J. Darby and Melanie A. Lasseigne.

Pallbearers will be Lance Amy, Brandon Darby, Nicholas Barrilleaux, Alton Darby and Wendall and Kerry Hale.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Barrilleaux, and Nathan Strayer.
