Duh Violet lightsabers are a combination of blue (good) and red (evil) meaning you can be dangerously close to evil, but still be good. Basically, it means you kick ass.

However, Obama's lightsaber is probably very very blue. Darth Cheney would use a red one, and Ron Paul would use a violet (or purple) one.
