Right America: Feeling Wronged - Some Voices from the Campaign Trail

On the day Barack Obama was elected the 44th President, more than 58 million voters cast their ballots for John McCain. In the months leading up to this historic election, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi (HBO's Emmy®-winning "Journeys with George") took a road trip to meet some of the conservative Americans who waited in line for hours to support the GOP ticket, and saw their hopes and dreams evaporate in the wake of that Democratic victory. These voters share their feelings about the changing America in which they live.

just saw this, and by god, there were some batshit people supporting mccain.

my favorite part so far is when a guy first spells socialism wrong, then claim its "basically the views of hitler" and "between communism and another view, i dont know exactly what that is"

LOL...did you not watch any McCain/Palin rallies? People were screaming to kill Obama. The socialist thing is just parroted by them as is the nazi and commie crap. We refer to these people as being "Low Information Voters".

Both parties have extreme nutjobs. Libs loved to refer to bush as a nazi, just like neocons like to call obama a communist.

LOL...you're serious? Hmmmm...who was it that pushed the "they are nazis" ...think really hard and if you don't get it I'll post the name.

What was done by those you so incorrectly refer to as Libs was point out the relationship between Prescott Bush and certain individuals who were members of the nazi parti in Germany. It is also the fact that during the past 8 years we have seen an ever growing corporate control of government sanctioned by not only Bush/Cheney but by the, and I say this while almost choking, so called conservatives who were most definately not conservative.

And just so you know...as embarrassing to me as it is...I actually coined a phrase about Palin that became one the McCain/Palin campaign slogans along with having a direct hand in the writing and promoting of one of their campaign songs.

There are plenty of people on both sides of the fence that would serve humanity much better by just lying down and dying; and never *ever* contributing to the gene pool.

Somehow that HBO made a documentary about only one side of it, is not shocking at all.

That network can take great ideas, and then they just shit all over them, give it some awards, push it to DVD and then charge an arm and a leg, then wonder why everyone is pirating it. /sigh
