I have done some soul searching for a few months now concerning our behavior (external-griefing the other guilds with impunity)(internal-being a member of RIP’s inner circle that is deceiving our members). I am tired of going to bed in the wee hours knowing we were doing many things wrong to others under the self-delusion and RIP leadership mantra of “Everyone Does It”. Well after some long hours of objective self evaluation I will not continue to deceive myself, RIP members, and other guilds we purposely try to KS and grief because “Everyone Does It”.

So here goes:

1. This is no longer a secret to anyone with half a brain. RIP will do anything, break any rule, steal a kill, lie, you name it. all in the name of “Everyone Does It” when we really know that is not true. Those in the guild that have questioned this behavior as of late in tells to individuals have been called wimps, sissies, or you don’t have the balls to be a heavy hitter guild so shut up!

2. When we do #1 always, always present the “misunderstand excuses” or blatantly lie about the encounter. I was personally counseled to “if we keep telling the lie over and over particularly on the boards and with exchanges with Brioma we will deflect punishment.

3. Speaking of Brioma. RIP leadership considers her the “blond dingbat” GM we can schmooze into buying pretty much anything we tell her. We go to great lengths to “nurture” a “we respect you” atmosphere but this is all a farce that has worked quite well. When we got nailed in the Cursed encounter we thought we had blown it but as all are aware we got off pretty much scot free for what really was a serious infraction. Brioma please be advised when talking to RIP leadership, they laugh at you behind your back about how easy it is to keep you “sweet talked” into letting do whatever we want.

4. We plant alt recruits in competitor guilds to feed us information as to there capabilities and when and if we need to take any action to impend their progress. We in the inner circle have had many long discussions about strategy to slow those behind us or cause discord within those above us with hope of grabbing a per keyed pre equipped member.

5. The inner circle spent this last summer setting up secret unguilded alts as a precaution in the event RIP did get banned. We have been equipping them from the guild bank and quietly back keying (or as in the case of VT share collection to the point of only needing a rift) to a point that if RIP got banned and stripped of keys at least we, the inner circle, could rebound very quickly and blend into existing high tier guilds.

Now, why leave in eight weeks? Of course to cover my ass. Needless to say when you burn a bridge with a group as ruthless and dishonest as RIP leadership your pretty much are EQ toast. And also as a bit of a payback for supporting the leadership, if you were planning on leaving anytime soon now you are trapped unless 2 or more members leave on the same day (or the leadership will think you are me).

I have decided to “start over” and enjoy the game and play honestly and fairly. With LDoN coming out I plan to leave RIP buy an E-Bay toon and pass my tradeable stuff to him and kick back and have some fun with a clear conscience.

To RIP leaders: GOOD RIDENCE! To RIP members you’re getting screwed by RIP leaders playing dangerously close to being banned and you will be left in the cold while they have planned for months how to protect themselves.

Cheating with rules is one thing, but cheating other people is something you ll have to pay one day, with high price. Now play with your councious, and of course convince yourself it is a virtual game and you can do it because it is just a game. You can do shits because none can see you face to face, fear no consequences, yes enjoy it until it is too late. 1st off, I am not in RiP, Never have been, probably never will be.

I thought that this post was pretty funny, but I would imagine that the poster isn't in RiP. Have some balls take credit for your writtings.

If you have a problem with someone or your entire guild tell them. Maybe what you say is the truth and pointing out the issues will help fix them. If they don't want to do anything then tell them you think that they are wrong and head on out for hopefully better times.

I had many issues with Palimax's old guild (Visioin) and I told them so. Did this hurt my chances in getting into other guilds, sure it did. But I told them the things that I disliked and went on. Do I believe that Palimax is a bad guy? No, but I disagreed with how they handled the guild.

Well, that is somewhat closer to the truth. Of course, everyone knows that in real life if you keep repeating the same thing over and over again, why it's just bound to come true! There's just simply no other explanataion for my recent ability to fly (who would have thought just by singing that damn annoying song...) and my strong resemblance to former Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee in certain areas of my anatomy (I gained another 2 inches just typing this sentance). With EQ related stuff though, we've had somewhat worse luck. I mean, wtf, c'mon, where the hell are my J-boots, the transfer of my bindpoint to underneath Halbalo's robes, or the illusion: assling mask I spam my groups and guild boards with requests for?!?! Yes, you are so right, we have found that the above tactic works so much better then dealing straight with quite possibly the best and most fair server GM around. Deception, mistrust, and trickery (I have these 3 words tattoed across my forehead BTW) are the keys to persuasion. As we all know GMs can't check logs or read chat to see such sneaky manipulation.

And as far as that line about 'respecting you', I'm sorry to say that was another little mix-up after one of our inter(course)actions. I really do respect you and I really did mean to call you in the morning, I just, well ,you know, had to sacrifice my daily infant pray to my dark gods, drink a liter of blood and other important stuff. Of course, that is also true (I mean who needs to play their own character at a raid or anything, c'mon that is so Kunark). But again you have left something out. Our recruit_bot_001 program extends to every guild. Those former RIP people who have moved on (Re: Operation Stool Pigeon Fly the Coop) in the past to EW, IvM etc are all part of our network too. And we don't just stop at A Ro, we extend to all servers and guilds! Right now my Assling_druid_alt_21678 is feeding me 'leet quarm strats from Triton and Assling_druid_alt_21679 is letting me know we have a Crushbone raid on Karana we have to go cock-block. All this information is then feed into Malse's brain and he either then explodes (it's happened several times :( )with a silly evil grin and drooling slightly, or we set our vast gnome/assling espionage network in motion! This is so true and is the reason why I too, will soon be leaving RIP. Only all too late I realized that when Brioma told us we had no warnings she really meant she was ready to strip all our gear and flags and disband us! This whole 'let us do well in EQ and have fun as a family' thing was all a front! I heard it from a reliable board-mole, I mean member, of another guild who has the real 'scoop' from GMs so it must be true. Malse also has a forked tongue, is a freakishly bloated demon from another realm, and has a third nipple (wait, I found that out some other way...) and Sanchek works for not only the CIA, but the FBI, IRS, DoJ, Domino's Pizza and the department of the Education (I knew my student loan payments were part of a vast right-wing conspiracy). Well, after finding out what our true fate is going to be, you can imagine my chagrin at wasting the summer on frivolous activities like going outside, spending time with my girlfriend (to maintain my EQ obsession, I mentally cast illusion: dwarven female on her), and generally having a ton of fun in RL and EQ. I can't take it any more.

I've been betrayed by my fellow council-members of the Hall of Doom and I am so out of this guild in the next 120 weeks (If you wanted to leave during that time, you're trapped now or else you'll be outed as the real Derryk!). At least this means I can stop forcing myself to call Malse 'Luthor' and I won't have to go by code name 'Solomon Grundy' (I had shit luck when we were assigning secret evil code names, that one was almost worse then Mr. Pink). I will sort of miss seeing 'Bizarro-Speedy Smash!' at our evening meetings, though.

I am, however, quite worried about being 'EQ toast'. I mean with Berren's evil-genius and Kaeril's power over the space-time continuum, I know that anytime I die, wipe, watch someone else kill or do something I wish I was, or don't get my oompa-loompa now, right-this-minute, it will all be due to them! I'm not sure how they do it, but I know that my failures cannot be blamed on my own shortcomings and must be laid at the feet of some other evil party. How can you compete with that kind of pure malevolent evil? Anonymous postings do not need to have credibility to be damaging to the target. Given much of the conflict between a number of guilds, I think people have come to believe the worst in any given situation whether it is true or not. 1. Owning a musket some ancestor used in the Civil War or Revolutionary War is an aggressive act. Storing it AT THE POLICE STATION as some cities require is an aggressive act.

I think there is somehow a slight difference in owning an antique family heirloom war musket which is 5 feet long and that in all likelyhood wouldn`t fire if you tried.Than there is owning a 5 inch long pistol that you can easily conceal.

The only reason police carry firearms in the US is because so many people own guns.They need them to be able to do thier job without getting killed.Though alot of the time having a gun doesn`t help,it only increases the chance of someone dying.
