Think the server is kinda overloaded right now, I had to try it three times to get it to load, but its worth it.

After they pulled it up onto the mound, they could have driven/pushed it out straight...

Shouldn't have gone up on the mound anyway. Shovel off that bit of berm and they would have been in good shape, they didn't need to tow or lift it. Clear the snow, and push is straight back. Going up high on the mound was their second mistake.

Basic physics/vectors are your friends. :)

Funny....I was just thinking, I wonder what that tow cable is hooked to under there anyway? Then pop!

I grew up in a winter town right next to a major university. This isn't that unheard of, all the college kids from sunny locations show up with no understanding of what snow is like. Some of them even claim that snow is "fun" or "pretty." The first storm disabuses them of that notion. I went out early mornings as a contracted plow and ran into these people all the time.

This video warms my heart, and reminds me of home. :rollin

It's kinda neat when you wake up in the morning and the snow is higher then your plates and there's a baracade in your driveway because the plows have already come through.

I spent like 2 hours shoveling.

Sounds like winter in most of Canada :)

Shovelled for about an hour last night. Of course, I have a neighbour who's around a hundered and two... well, maybe not that old, but ranking up there... so I shovelled his driveway as well.

But I live here for the 4 seasons. Winter's really only 3ish months anyway. Last Christmas there was no snow, and the snow'll be gone by mid March.

Keeps life interesting.

One of the best things I ever did was buy a truck with a snowplow on the front. Got a beat up old '84 Jeep J-10, just enough to do the job. Park facing the street at night, and blast right through the snow barricade. All I had to shovel after that was the stairs up to the porch. I became an instant hero on my street, I'd pop by and spend 5 minutes clearning someone's mailbox for 'em. And that was before I found out what people will pay to have parking lots cleared.

On place had about a 75' by 75' lot, their opening offer was $100 a pop. Figure during any given storm, I'd have to go by at least 2 or 3 times just to keep them open for business....

Sometimes during the summer I left the plow on, just to chase tourists with.

Being male has little to do with what happened - being young and inexperienced has a lot more IMO.

The car has Oregon plates on it - Oregon isn't known for it's snow but it gets enough that they really should have known better...

Snow or not - anyone with a tow cable/strap should know better than to attach anything to the BUMPER! That, in and of itself, was the most stupid part of the video...
