You can watch all of the major television stations' broadcasts for the entire day. It's eerie.

Thank you - I've often wished I had taped some of that. Not entirely sure why though.

Could be arugued that we stopped showing it too quickly and tended to cover up the news about it before folks, those of us not in the immediate locale and not knowing someone directly connected,had a chance to grieve properly.

Actually, I was only able to sit through part of a couple of clips. I think we left it on for too long - at least, too long full of just talking heads. Many of us didn't know what to do, and people like me spent a couple of days just watching horrifying repeats of the day. I do wish they'd spent more time on the aftermath, providing better closure for the nation. Show the memorials, and people moving on. Maybe it would have helped with some of the knee-jerk reactions to charging off to war.

I watched a few clips last night. Interesting how Bush was reading from a written speech talking about retaliation, before either tower even fell.
At the time, I was too dumbfounded to notice that.
