Seriously, as I've stated before, I find the oversplitting of threads and deletion of mildly provocative responses to be very destructive to dialogue - people don't ever see, or miss, the tangential subject for discussion, the context is lost, and the existing discussion is more often than not killed. Given the dwindling number of posters here, and the degree of familarity we have with each other, I think we're much better off preserving the lively discussions that *do* come up, rather than killing them because they spawned speculation, or someone didn't like someone else's mouth. *Please* lighten up on the 'moderation', it's not like we're dealing with spammers or flamers at this point.
