T3 and T4, I have no idea how it will work out but maybe Altdorf will fall!

Interesting, will have to see if that's going on Bretonnia.

Will do! Or you could roll a character and come witness the massive lag fest :D
I must say that as more folks roll order on our server the competition is getting good. We definitely cannot dominate like we had been and keeps/forts are constantly contested not just flipping but defended and sometimes held. This is how the game should be, one side should not dominate.

I've been messing around with the new classes Leah and I got special invites to a special test server where they testing them out. The sunguard is tres cool! It's kind of funny being in scenarios of all sunguards vs. blackguards.

LMAO nice nice!

I just can't bring myself to play another toon. But I look forward to burying the new blackguards once they get up to T4!!!

Doing a quest for an epic sword that debuffs 800 armor..../grin!

So, how did it go?

So...
I gathered helped gather my troops and my alliance and we went off to join this glorious leader who was going to help us take Altdorf finally.

Yeah, completely unorganized, massive herd of people, no one knowing WTF was going on. 3 other guilds had warbands and refused to cooperate with the rest of the warbands. We had people capping BOs in other zones when people could have all focused their efforts on one target so we could cap a zone. The biggest I saw it at one point was 6 destruction warbands and 2 order warbands, but Order had 3 warbands in T3 and destruction had 3. End result? We didn't cap a single zone (keeps, capped, forts capped so Altdorf remained safe and myself and my guild became so frustrated with the frigging zerg that we rolled Order characters on Averheim.

I am tired of playing on a side that only wins b/c they have more people and lack the skills or desire to communicate and cooperate. Until Mythic fixes the population imbalance I'm playing my Rune Priest on Averheim. We formed our guild there this weekend too. Some people may enjoy winning b/c they have so many people they can just overwhelm their enemy but I personally enjoy fighting in a small group and kicking a larger group's ass. It was a good feeling, we kept flipping BOs all over T1 this weekend with myself and 1-2 other people and a group of destruction would come try to take it back and we'd own them. That felt so much better than rolling thru Praag with 100 people to the other side's 40.

I only played in that zerg for about an hour when it became clear how disorganized they were. For crying out loud we had our asses handed to use by a solitary group of Order in Dragonwake b/c the warband leader couldn't give clear directions so people kept running right into an ambush and no one said a fucking thing like hey, don't round that corner alone or you're going to die. So me and my lonely 8 people were trying to get to the rest of the warband and kersplat we ran into the wipe to our deaths. Nothing quite like getting punted off the edge when you round the bend and fall alllllllllll the way to your death. I hate that ability, I really do. I wish I could resist it or something. feh.

I kept my cool and let the guy try to lead. My guys all did what they supposed to do and that's always a good feeling but then we're not retards either. :)

We're starting to see a dynamic shift on our server. The Destruction side leveled up very quickly and rolled us due to sheer numbers. Well now we're gearing up and tbh our org is much much tighter. There is one Destruction guild (CKD) that uses vent and generally works well together. Other than that it's piecemeal with some better than others.

Flipping BO's for easy reknown is fairly easy, I prefer the scenario's for hard fought reknown. I do love a good keep siege with both sides fighting for all they've got. Wish they left the WH ability to stealth into an enemy keep in....

Yeah, sadly we were in vent! We were in a 150 man vent server and they had it split T3/T4 but the guy leading it just didn't have what it took to keep that many people together and the T3 group didn't fair much better.

We have an alliance with 5 other guilds and when we have events we use an alliance vent server. We're tight and organized but there are so many destruction players on our server when we try to sneak out and take a keep it's like moths to a flame our warband gets zerged by the zerg who come where the action is. Scenarios are ok but I prefer the open RvR, I like using seige engines and seeing waves of red names with no time limit so you can plan strategy. Scenarios are too short and too random. When I do queue for them I do so in a pre-made group so that we're all on the same page and in vent and there's no stopping us! I jsut wish people would get into their heads that this game is more about cooperation than solo glory, the end game is city invasion you can't do that solo and you can't even do it with 1 guild (unless it's a huge one). I just need a break from the idgits. And it feels good to slay a Black Orc every now and then.

Actually we're having a blast, we joke that playing Order after 2 months of destruction is like playing the game in reverse. Everything is flip-flopped and we keep getting turned around. I can't for the life of me remember where the Order warcamp is in T2. And in scenarios? hahaha seriously it has added a whole new layer to the game and we're having a blast. So far about 8 of my guild has made the move, being that we're all T4 and some of us level capped we don't want to give up on our destruction toons but we are sick of being part of the problem and feel like playing Order we're helping the game.

Flipping BOs is easy with a group, but it is a challenge with just 2 or 3 especially when defended by a full group :D I guess I played WoW too long and got my fill of BGs so I'm not a fan of scenarios as much. Don't get me wrong though, I do plenty of them.

Oh I hear you on the scenarios. What I like to do tho is scout for players with talent and a desire to do more than play the solo game.

Working my way into the community that's building of course. Need that community before we can build a force large enough to dominate.

I do worry how we'll take T3 and T4. I can't see who's on T3 unless I want to be chickened. The good players move up to T4 so it'll be complicated to say the least.

Cities shouldn't fall anytime soon, unless I'm misunderstanding the mechanics behind taking them.

True, and not only that unless I'm wrong no one on my server is even at the correct renown rank to even equip the gear that is supposed to help you take the King. The highest renown rank we have is 55 I believe. The idea/hope/thought was that with hundreds of people we could zerg it. Which is probably possible but not when you can't organize the zerg to do focus on the same thing.

There is only one way to control a proper zerg....

Spawn more overlords!!!!!

Sorry couldn't help myself ;P

I was looking at the reknown gear, some of it requires you to have slain a king before you can wear it......

Methinks they plan on an expansion!!!

lol well I logged into monolith breifly tonight and in typical fashion tons of RvR mostly destruction in Dragonwake. So much so that it crashed the zone. QQ

Supposedly Mark Jacobs is making some kind of post/announcement tomorrow about RvR and changes. I can't wait to hear them :)

Definately tons of open rvr last night ( thanks to the live event ).

Oooo changes to pvp/rvr being brought to light today? If you can, because I can't ;( , please post here what he says?

Will do.

Yes, tons and tons of oRvR last night. I had so much fun! It was interesting to experience the zerg from the other side of things last night. It's funny on Averheim it seems that Order owns T3, and they mustered enough folks to actually flip a T4 zone last night. They are getting stronger and all the destruction are whinning about it. But in T1 and T2 destruction dominate. It's amazing how odd the server is. Unlike Monolith where destruction outnumbers Order at every tier. Good stuff, I'm really enjoying myself on my lil Rune Priest who says "bastad" when someone hits me. I love it when they say "bollucks" and "bloody hell" too. This game has some very funny subtle things like that.

Never noticed if my WH says anything when hit ;(

Up to four wards now that I can wear!!! Mean ole Wh is looking stylin'!

Destruction charged us at a warcamp last night. Aprox 40 of them enmasse as they charged after a small warband. I was on a dwarfen cannon at the time....BOOOM

Love it , love the rvr.

LOL yeah the Black Orcs especially seem a bit mindless... I was "baiting" a few of them last night at the warcamp in Troll Country. I would run out taun them and run back for Leah to shoot them with the cannon. I'm sure to a level 21 BO a level 15 RP looked like an easy kill, hah wrong! fun times!

On Badlands in the last week we've had Destruction and Order both locking up Praag. When Destruction pushed on to the Fortress we were saved by a timely crash....X2!!!
