I walk into a room littered with empty Mtn Dew cans. Two 17 year old boys, (who unbeknownst to me would someday become the most important people in my life) sit laughing together, each at his own computer. My beloved JP picks up his guitar and leans back to play, as he often did to pass the time waiting for "a turtle to wander up on shore" (he explains).
I demand to know why anyone would waste their time with such things, and "What the fuck is the point of that game anyway..." but JP tunes me out to watch Dustin's screen. Dustin lvl 14 HE enchanter, doing the stein of moggok quest, is venturing close to something: "oggok, the stupid ogre city" he tells us.
JP begins to play, and as Dustin inches closer to the city, sings (freestyle!) his experience (http://angryferret.upyour.com/eqsong/eqsong.rm)~
Later I demanded that he write down the words, and this video has been a favorite ever since. EQ did in fact used to be fun, I wouldn't believe it either if I didn't have this proof =P.

Started my journey one faithful night.
It was really fucking dark.
Thought maybe I could pick a fight.
I didn't know I was gonna die!
Went to the city, it was mighty big.
The guards there, they fuckin hated me.
He had a club, he pulled it out,
I screamed, "OH GOD NO!"
I tried to run away but he was fast.
Fast indeed he crushed my fuckin spine.
And as I lay there lifeless,
I did not know how much time had passed,
I lost consciousness.
I woke up in the depths of a river,
I was bleeding bad.
I wondered what was wrong,
I couldn't remember my own name.
Oh god, what happened to me?
Next time I will bring a bigger knife.
