That was a spectacular read, true or not. While I have no doubt that the US had a major role in that, you have to wonder about how large of an operation this was and why its amazing we haven't heard about it sooner or in more detail.

That's quite fascinating.

You just haven't been looking in the right places, I guess. I learned about it on Slashdot back in September, and Slashdot isn't exactly known for cutting edge news.
