I've been playing WoW since release and never really got in to the WC games at all. The other day I saw the battle chest version of WC3 on sale super cheap so I picked it up.

All I can say is that blame each and every one of you for not forcing me to play that game 3 years ago when it came out. What the hell people?

It's been a while since I've actually felt the urge to bail on work and go home to play a video game :)

3 was a lot of fun, but I enjoyed 2 more. I'm currently in the midst of Kingdom Hearts 2, and its eating into my 'do something other than sit in front of the TV' time.

Whats the premise of the KH games anyway? I hear rave things about them, but dont really know anything about them.

I am thinking about getting Kindom Hearts 2 for my 9 year old...is it good for a kid that age? And would he be missing something if I got him 2 without ever playing 1 first? Although, maybe I could maybe find the first one at our Game Exchange....our Wal Mart didn't have it.

Jodi, Kingdom Hearts 2 would be very appropriate for your 9 year old. My son has been playing both games since he was young and it's very family friendly.

KH2 is a very family friendly game really, and while I think that some of it is a little mature, it would be suitable for a 9 year old to play in my opinion. The characters in it are typical 'high fantasy' characters that do exactly what you'll expect them to in every situation (heroes, and villains alike), which in turn reflects on how much Disney epitomizes the Occam's razor theory of black and white. There is no blood or gore or anything like that, no language (that I can think of), and most of it is light hearted and fun, though there is some thoughtful and more heavy stuff that goes on in the story. As to being able to pick it up without having played KH1, I'd say that while its possible, it would be more enjoyable for having finished KH1.

And Giena, think of it like a Final Fantasy-ish game, with the characters being an amalgam of Disney and Final Fantasy characters. I was skeptical at first, but it is extremely enjoyable for me. The combat system is also a step out of the normal Final Fantasy as well. Its done more like...whats a good way to describe it. Its 3rd person perspective real time, but its less menu driven and more reflex/shortcut driven, and you have full control over movement.

I'd recommend renting it, you'd probably enjoy it.

The Commercials seem very engaging. When I saw KH1 I wanted to DL an emulator for the Playstation, till I understood you have to have the original games for it to work. >.<

I still play craft with my friends and we love it. The map editor for the win.

Play the custom game DOTA from www.dota-allstars.com (http://www.dota-allstars.com). You will be hooked. It even is in the CAL gaming lineup!

DOTA is awesome. I was surprised really, but now I like to get a match or two in each day. I'm not that good at it yet - barely escape with an even kill / death ratio sometimes. I'd love to see a WoW battleground just like that, where you kill creeps in order to take over another base.
