This is a live game, 5 – 5 no limit hold’em. I was in the big blind and there was a straddle of 10 dollars. This live game I play at all no-limit straddles are dead, they are considered a blind raise. So the only way a player that straddles can act is if there is another raise.

I get 5 :spades and 8 :diamonds, 7 players call the 20 raise, so it gets to me I figure for another 5 bucks I could get lucky….

Flop: 10 :spades , 5 :hearts, 8 :clubs

Sweet bottom 2, the pot is $80, I could probably take it down with a big bet. I bet $100, I get 6 callers! OMG wtf I must be behind or up against a few draws

Turn: 2 :diamonds

Hrmmm… shouldn’t be any help for anyone… I have 160 left… I push all in, 5 callers! WTF! I cant believe the action

River: 3 :spades

The main pot is about 1700, and the river should be a safe card. The person that straddled goes all in for 340…argh!! I lost!! 2 people call his all in.

Straddler: K:diamonds, K:spades

Player1: A:clubs, 10:clubs

Player2: A :diamonds, 10:hearts

OMG I WON IT!! I take down a monster pot with a hand I probably wouldn’t have played if I wasn’t in the blind! Its good to be the blind =).

Later that night my chip stack is about 2000 give or take a few….

I get A:clubs, A:spades in the small blind. 8 players limp in for the 5 dollar bet. It gets to me I raise to 100. I have a nice stack at the time and really want to eliminate all but 1 or 2 players. I get 2 callers! PERFECT!!!

Flop: K:hearts, 4 :spades, 6:clubs

I am first to act, I bet 250 to attempt to take down the pot right then and there. I get 1 caller. Hrmmmm! Must have a big king.

Turn: A :hearts

NUTS!!! Got a set of Aces, I thought about checking here but now there is a flush draw out there and a possible straight. What moron would call that much money with a straight draw??? So I figured I would put the other player all in for 520. HE CALLS!! WTF could he have. I am hoping he hit a set of 4’s or K’s or 6’s. Well the cards get turned up…

He has 3 :hearts, 5 :hearts …omfg the outs he has…

River: 7 :diamonds

GET THE F*** outta here! I couldn’t believe he called pre-flop with that crap…I couldn’t believe he called the flop with that crap, on a straight draw =(. After the turn I don’t blame him but before that I can’t see his calling the hand. After that beat I just got up and cashed out, I ended up winning 300 but I was up about 1300 before that hand. After the hand I asked him why he called the raise, he said “I was on tilt”. All I gotta say is Aces bleh!!!!

What's the buy-in on your "5-5" game? My B&M casino has started a "5-125" no-limit game. I haven't played it, but I believe it's a $125 buy-in (minimum?) with a $5 blind. What's the structure in yours - just comparing.

I mostly sit Omaha, so, the only pot-limit/NL I get is in the rare tournament online.

The buy-ins structure is 200(max-min), 200(min) then upto 500. It usually gets to be a pretty big game, with a lot of swings.
