that was a very cool link TY Akipt. in 05 i had the days off and plans set to make the short journey to go see a launch. (the first after the tragedy) but it sadly got pushed back a few days. i'm still bitter about it.

Good stuff. When I was a kid one of my many field trips to Cape Canaveral included a catwalk stroll (almost certainly disallowed today) on the 34th floor of the VAB. I remember being fairly terrified (a touch acrophobic back then) but amazed at just how tiny the barely visible people were back at ground level. The crawlers that carried the Deltas and Saturn-V's to the launchpad moved incredibly slowly, but were still fascinating to watch. Few things influenced me at that age as much as the space program.
