Don't click if you don't want to spoil half the movie. For anyone who already knows most of the storyline though the pictures are awesome and it looks to be a fantastic movie, which is more than can be said for the last two.

Am I the only one who's never actually found Star Wars particularly interesting or, well, good?

Well these shots pretty much prove that the transcript I read was mostly true. More reason to believe that this one might actually not suck. Some looked pretty damn cool.

And congrats to those that don't like star wars. I'm sure that ainwen posted these screenshots specificially for you.

I hope Hayden took some acting lessons before shooting this one. His bad timing and lack of ..well...anything, is a big part of why the last one kinda sucked.

Nice. Howeven given what we've seen already this is far more likely.

Am I the only one who's never actually found Star Wars particularly interesting or, well, good?Very much not so, personally I think all of the movies are total rubbish. However, I have a hard time trying to make up my mind if I think the old or the new ones are worse.

When the original Star Wars movie hit the theatres, it was so new and innovative in it's style and effects that it immediately captured folks imaginations. As the story unfolded, folks were drawn into these characters and their history and so forth.

Looking at the movies now, with all the other technology and possibilities that were not available at the time of the first issue, they do seem somewhat lame; but, they sure did pique the interest back in the "old" days.

I couldn't get enough of Star Wars when it first came out. The subsequent two movies were similarly awe-inspiring, despite their flaws. It's true that they are not, technically, great movies as such things are judged. But the innovations, the special effects, the story, the characters...the movies had an epic feel to them that even now gives me a little shiver.

The Phantom Menace wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen (I mean hell, I've watched Manos: the Hands of Fate at least 3 times), but it was the most disappointing. I didn't see the 2nd one and won't see the 3rd, but at least it sounds like the series will end on a high note.

You cant call a movie lame because they didnt use technology that wasnt available to them. Its a weak argument at best. Take whatever movie you think is awesome right now.. Say Lord of the Rings series.. thats just like someone 20 years from now looking back at the lord of the rings series and saying it was lame cause our technology now adays is so miniscual... if you are gonna criticize a renown movie.. pls do it by the acting... story line... or compare it to the other movies that came out at that time.

The issue I had with the new movies was that the Jedi....they were a bunch of dorks. I can only hear so many "Yes master" ~ "As you wish master" The script writers for these movies really need to have their asses kicked. The story is cool, the dialogue....not so much.

I'll see this one for sure /shrug i've seen everyone since the original came out.:)

For those too young to remember Star Wars was pretty revolutionary in 77 and captured the imagination of that generation.
as far as bad acting goes pull out the original and watch it again. Harrison Ford couldnt have acted his way out of a paper bag at the time and Mark Hamil was even worse. In scenes where they had to act with the either of the 2 Shakspearian actors in the film it's painfull to watch.

/sigh

You need to learn to read what is being said, rather than what you want to think is being said so you can make your silly arguments.

Ahhh I remember seeing the first one during initial release in 77. Was totally beyond the pale at that time.

And now I find myself awaiting the last, chapter 3, installment of a saga with increasing trepadation ( spelling sue me).

Somewhere in the back of my mind is that lil 11 year old kid, thinking this epic I so enjoyed will go on forever. And now that I had the fortune to see Darth Vader before he went to the darkside I really don't want him to voyage over there.

I'm sure it'll be great, and I'm also very sure it'll make gobs of money in theatres and DVD release.

Enjoy

"Trepanation" seems most appropriate, really. ;)

Personally, I think the Great Hyperspace War would own. Seeing 300 Jedi attack the Library of Veeshas Tuwan would just rock my socks. Or them wiping out the Stennes Shifters. Plus Naga Sadow was pure assbeat, he'd kick the shit out of Annakin with his left toenail.

Er...

Not a geek! I swear. 8(

It's a miracle the Jedi were able to hold the Sith back. Naga Sadow destroyed stars using the Dark Side.
