I'm so excited for this. KoTOR 1 was one of my favorite games of all time, and Mass Effect is ridiculous. Baldur's Gate was awesome too. Bioware's track record with RPG's is amazing, so I have high hopes for this.

Supposedly this game is going to have RMT integrated with the game and will be mostly a solo player game? wtf?

Publisher Electronic Arts today classified BioWare's upcoming Star Wars MMO The Old Republic as a "microtransaction-based" title, indicating that the game will include alternative financial models other than a subscription fee.
The Old Republic has been billed as a large-scale MMO with many single-player elements, including dynamic NPC companions and in-depth storylines. BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka has referred to the game as, "[Knights of the Old Republic] 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and beyond," while the official FAQ states that "the majority of the game can be accomplished by playing alone."

So many lightsabers, feels like its gonna be a World of Jedis like SWG - only this time it costs $50 for your lightsaber.

I'm gonna give the studio the benefit of the doubt for now. They've made great games! Lets see if they can transition that to the MMO market.
