Seaside communities in Japan have tried to capitalize on the menace by developing novel jellyfish dishes from tofu to icecream, but for some reason the recipes have failed to take off.

Can only imagine why they haven't taken off...

Japan needs to build a huge man made island...and start raising cattle.

Nanora, jellyfish ice cream is pretty tame compared to some popular Japanese dishes. =p I kind of wonder what jellyfish tastes like...

hrmm can't say I've ever had nor heard of squid jerky. I do like squid though, if prepared in a tasty fashion.

I'm not so sure about Jellyfish...I don't know how what they'd make of it. And I sure as hell hope NOT sushi. I remember one spring break at Myrtle Beach, SC....it was like a mini invasion of jellies.....the beach was covered. Me and some budies thought we'd disect(sp) a few in the tub of our hotel. Yeah they stunk and there wasn't much to it but it was fun.....on second thought it could have been the beer.....

I just keep picturing Spongebob running around with a net, making jelly fish jelly.
