Having recently finished downloading/watching the first season, and thinking it the best thing on TV since Malcolm in the Middle ended - I have to ask, wtf?
I hear it's not even being brought back, even with such established writers and producers such as the West Wing team. Every episode delivered quality television, and the chemistry/storylines were extremely strong. It was nice to see at least one of the ex-Friend's not nose-diving since that show ended, and the cast as a whole brought comedy and drama subtley together.
Anyone else watched this top-notch show?

Too many folks would rather watch something that does not require them to think, such as the Survivor line of crap, or Idol line. The so-called "reality" television has made it increasingly difficult for plot/character driven programming to compete.

Leah and I loved this show and are pissed it's not being brought back. It was very witty and entertaining. :(

Here in the US they pulled it before it even finished the 15 episodes they made, I had to start downloading them from Canada.
Admidtedly, its not as good as Sports Night or West Wing. It was good, I'd even say great, and NBC wasn't able to find anything to replace its time slot for the entire season - but it was poor salesmanship on their part. They put it right after the "Deal Or No Deal" audience which couldn't handle it :)

It was good, I loved that show, but the marketing sucked and I think most people didn't understand the show. They billed it here as more of a slapstick comedy from the commercials, which it clearly wasn't.
How that dies, and garbage like 30 Rock survives, I don't understand.

Sorkin and the NBC execs have been close for a long time. I kinda hope this doesn't take the wind out of his sails though. I *love* him.

Speaking of cancelling before the show got even more interesting..anyone start watching "The Black Donnellys"? I really liked that show it was just starting to get interesting when they pulled it. Hopeflly the rumors are true and HBO or HDnet will pick it up. HBO would really make it alot more interesting of a show but coming off "The Sopranos" I don't know.
