As much as the topic gets kicked around here, I wanted to share another similar perspective on the dumbing down of our nation. Plus, I really enjoy this writer's columns, so any chance to share them is a good one.

And I know folks who thought that "Ow! My Balls!" was funny and should be on "real" TV. No. I wouldn't be surprised to see it on cable.

Now that is a pretty novel approach for a new politician. :)

Yeah, I thought that one was pretty cool when I saw it. It got him that 3,000 donation goal in a day or two, from the XKCD reading crowd. I hope he wins out there.

Hell, I'm not even in Kansas and I'm considering donating on principle. I generally do a $500 to the local symphony for their educational programs but I'm not thrilled with their management as of late.
